Applying for GO GOLD Funding 2020/21.

Applications for the 2020/21 GO GOLD Funding Programme are now closed. Successful applicants will be contacted by the end of February 2020.

Step 1

Read and carefully consider our new GO GOLD Criteria. All applications will be assessed for full eligibility before the panel. If they do not full meet the eligibility criteria, applications will not be considered.

Step 2

Complete and submit your online application form which can be found below. Please complete all questions in as much detail as possible to aid the panel's decision to fund. By creating an account on LRS website, this will allow you to save your progress and come back to your application at a later date.

Step 3

Upon receipt of your completed application, it may be sent to the appropriate National Governing Body for verification and prioritisation if we feel it is necessary. The GO GOLD Panel will meet in February 2020 and their decision on your application will be communicated by the end of February.

All successful applicants will need to begin completing their online blogs from April 2020 and attend a compulsory presentation evening in April (date TBC).

Important Information

All sections of the application form should be completed and confirmed that they are submitted with parental/guardian consent if under 18 years. Any incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant for amendment, providing there is sufficient time for it still to be submitted before the closing date.

All awards are given at the discretion of the GO GOLD Panel and all applicants will be advised of the decision taken. If an applicant is dissatisfied with the outcome of their application, they may contact the Panel in writing only - no dialogue regarding an application will be entered into on the telephone.

All awards will be paid in instalments with the subsequent payments sent following the receipt of requested feedback via a monthly online Athlete Blog. Applicants who do not complete their monthly blogs will not receive their subsequent payments.
