About This Campaign

Bike Week, delivered by Cycling UK, is an annual celebration to showcase cycling and how brilliant it is. Join thousands of people all across the UK and enjoy the simple pleasure of riding a bike. Let's make the world better by bike.

Did you know that..

  • Cycling to work can mean you have a 45% lower risk of developing cancer, and a 46% lower risk of cardiovascular disease.
  • If you cycle regularly in adulthood, you will enjoy a level of fitness equivalent to someone 10 years younger.
  • If all cycle journeys increased from the current level of 2% to 25% by 2050, the collective benefit would be £248bn.

It's a time to remind ourselves of all the positives that riding a bike can bring, including our own health and wellbeing, the theme of this year's event. Cycling remains a great way to keep fit and active and is a good way to boost immunity, it's also fantastic for your well-being. This year Cycling UK be launching with the World's Biggest Bike Ride. You can also take part in the virtual #7daysofcycling challenge, giving you an amazing way to reunite with your friends and family in the outdoors. Be inspired by some exciting challenges and routes.

To celebrate Bike Week 2021, the UK's largest cycling awareness raising week, get involved and help someone make the switch to cycling. Delivered by Cycling UK, from Sunday 30 May to Saturday 5 June, join in and celebrate all that is great about riding a bike. Taking part is easy, and helps make a real difference to more people cycling.

1. Go for a cycle during Bike Week and share your ride online using #7daysofcycling
2. Log your ride for a chance to win some awesome prizes
3. Take part in some of the exciting digital events happening during the week

Inspire someone you know
Why not encourage someone you know to go riding with you, or use an exhilarating bike ride as a way to reunite with people you haven't seen for a while, and enjoy the great outdoors. Whatever you do, the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the thrill of the ride.
