About Barton Park

A 46ha planted on the edge of Barton-under-Needwood in 2002, Barton Park is highly visible from the B5106 Barton to Yoxall road.

It comprises a mix of habitats, with new broadleaved woodland forming the main block while the adjacent land is planted in a parkland style with trees in individual crates to re-create the parkland of Barton Park. Open ground opposite the houses is mananged as hay meadow to maintain views. A large pond provides wetland habitat and an avenue of lime trees adds an attractive feature to the (private) house. Bat boxes are positioned in the hedgerow trees.
