About Corbett's Wood

A 4.66ha woodland on The National Forest boundary in Needwood. With nearby Moat Hall Wood, the wood forms an attractive gateway to the Forest.

It sits on a high plateau giving wonderful views across Needwood to Lichfield Cathedral and Hoar Cross Church. A new footpath link has been created towards the eastern end of Moat Lane to link the existing Public Right of Way to Dolesfoot Lane and Jacksons Bank.

The woodlands compromises 10% conifers and 90% broadleaves and woody shrubs on the edges of the glades provide food plants for insects as well as providing colour.
