The Leicester Forest Cycling Club is one of the most respected clubs nationwide.

Since it was created by a group of enthusiasts in 1923 it has always been a well organised, well structured and disciplined club. It is a friendly club who cover the whole spectrum of cycling.

The club has recently become a British Cycling Go-Ride Club and has started youth coaching for 5–16 year olds on a Tuesday evening at New College Leicester. These sessions are aimed at giving youngsters an opportunity to learn some basic bike-handling skills at an early age, with an element of entry level racing and the emphasis on enjoyment.
