About Normandy Wood

Normandy Wood is a 2.4ha woodland, planted near Packington, to commemorate the D-Day landings.

The planting, which was completed in 1996, consists of native broadleaf woodland with a mix of principally oak, ash, hazel and field maple, together with 30% woody shrubs. A public footpath crosses the site and an internal path system enables visitors to wander around the wood.
