9.30 Welcome and brief introduction to the session and Ian from CASE.

9.35 - 10.10 Section 1 - Overview of different structures:

  • What are the different structures for organisations
  • What is the process for setting these up
  • What are the pro's and con's of each
  • Example of a sports organisation which changes to a Community Interest Company, why they did this and the benefits for them.

10.10-10.50 Section 2 – How could this work for me and my situation?

  • Outline of do's and don'ts to help you on your journey.
  • How you can convert from one structure to another, eg. a Limited Company to a Community Interest Company as an example.
  • How you can run the two organisations in parallel
  • What does all this mean if I am self employed?
  • Brief information around Tax Structures, Invoicing and PAYE payments in relation to the structure of your organisation
  • What does this mean for you around 'control of the organisation' and decision making
  • What are my responsibilities in relation to reporting?
