School Games Summer Festival

The Festival will see young people from across Leicestershire, Leicester and
Rutland come to take part in a range of competitive and non-competitive
school sport and physical activity opportunities.

These range from County Finals in sports such as Netball, Hockey, Athletics and Sportsability, to celebration events for our Daily Boost, Change 4 Life, This Girl Can and County Leadership programmes.

The Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games, is part of the national 'School Games Programme'. It aims to keep competitive sport at the heart of schools and provide more young people with the opportunity to compete and achieve their personal best.

It is open to all young people aged 6-18 years, of all abilities and backgrounds from every school across Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland - therefore make sure your School gets involved!

Delivered locally by us here at Active Together and the School Games Organisers (SGOs) in the 10 School Sport & Physical Activity Networks (SSPANs), the Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games provides schools with the opportunity to enhance their existing work in school sport and create a year-round calendar of competition for all students.

Level 2 winning partnership school teams then compete at the Championships to be crowned 'County Champions' in their particular competition!
