World Suicide Prevention Day Conference 2022

The Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland Suicide Audit and Prevention Group hold a free annual event/conference close to World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) - 10th September.

WSPD is a significant advocacy and communication-based event aimed at reaching national organisations, governments and the general public, giving a singular message that suicide can be prevented. By encouraging understanding, reaching in and sharing experiences, we want to give people the confidence to take action. Find out more about the national campaign: International Association for Suicide Prevention.

This year the partnership will be holding a face-to-face conference all about creating hope through action at the King Power Stadium aimed at professionals.

Partners from across Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland will come together to share updates on the action they have been taking in this area across the last year. This will give professionals the opportunity to see what is happening across the county, and ask questions, so that they can better support those they work with and themselves. There will also be local services providers sharing information via stalls.

A full schedule for the conference will be released ASAP (the conference will run between 9:30-15:00 with refreshments and lunch provided).

For any questions or queries about the conference, please contact Emily Rodbourne at emily.rodbourne@leics.gov.uk.
