About Sports Development Assistant

Richard Huish College are currently seeking an engaging and enthusiastic Sports Development Assistant to join our hugely successful sports programmes.

Candidates will be required to provide a range of administration support to the Sports Development Officer, including the coordination and organisation of competitive sporting events, both on and off campus. Candidates will also be required to coach, referee, officiate and/or supervise groups aged 16-19yrs in a variety of sports including Netball, Hockey, Rugby, Football and Basketball. Candidates should have excellent communication, administration, and interpersonal skills, and are dedicated to fully embrace the sporting and educational ethos within the College.

The successful candidate will be a proficient user of Microsoft Office, have experience of office administration, possess strong organisational skills and be able to demonstrate a genuine desire to work within an educational sports environment. Current coaching qualifications (Level 1 and above) and first aid certification are preferred, but not essential as full training can be provided.

Candidates would need to be available on Monday 11am – 1:15pm, Wednesday 12:30pm – 4pm and Thursday 11am – 1:15pm.

· Salary: £10.80 - 20.80/hr dependent on experience

· Hours: 6.5 – 8.5 hours per week depending on schedules and fixtures

· Contract: Fixed term September 2021 – Easter 2022 (28 working weeks)

· Start Date: 01/09/2021 (there will be pre-season days in August)

· Closing date: 9:00am on Monday 26th July 2021
