The University of Nottingham are seeking to appoint an inspirational and passionate person into the new role of Sports Participation Manager. The post holder will be responsible for the implementation, oversight and delivery of a new Sport, Health and Well-being package, aimed at improving the student experience for first year students living in University accommodation. They will create an annual programme of events and activities to support integration into campus life through sport and physical activity.

About Sports Participation Manager (fixed term)

The post holder will manage and oversee the Intramural Sport and Just Play programmes as well as being responsible for the staff who coordinate and deliver these programmes to enable them to enhance and support the sport, health and well-being package. They will manage the professional relationships with internal partners, including the wider UoN Sport team, the Student Union, Accommodation and Residential Experience teams to ensure a collaborative approach across all areas that complement one another.

To deliver successfully you will have experience of project and events management, be a strong leader of people and have the ability to work well within a range of teams. You will have knowledge and understanding of the higher education sports sector as well as an understanding of the key elements of first year residential experience in student accommodation.

The role will form part of the Participation team within UoN Sport and be predominantly based from the David Ross Sports Village. All candidates will need to be flexible in their approach to their working week, noting that evening and weekend work will be required regularly to deliver successfully in the role.
