About Health Walks Co-ordinator

This role is flexible and can be part-time (3 days a week) or full time.

We are looking to recruit a new Health Walks Co-ordinator to develop, co-ordinate and deliver a programme of Somerset Health Walks, which aims to improve the health outcomes and quality of life amongst Somerset residents by providing opportunities to be more physically active and maintain a healthy weight, whilst addressing long-term health condition(s).

SASP has successfully been awarded the contract by Public Health at Somerset County Council to co-ordinate and manage a new physical activity on referral service for Somerset for the next three years. This includes the delivery of the very successful Somerset Health Walks programme across the county

The Health Walks Co-ordinator will lead the recruitment, training, and support of volunteer walk leaders and the day-to-day management of the programme.

This is an exciting time, and we are looking for someone to join our enthusiastic and high-performing team. They will be a great organiser, be excellent at developing relationships with our volunteers and have a passion for physical activity and a desire to improve people's quality of life through promoting physical health.
