As a member of the Health & Wellbeing Team, you will be key in supporting the delivery of this vision by increasing the physical activity participation levels of adults, young people, and children through the development, coordination and promotion of a range of health, wellbeing and physical activity opportunities.

About Community Health & Wellbeing Officer (2 x posts)

Working in partnership with parish/town councils, elected members, and the community, you will initiate, manage and co-ordinate the development and implementation of a range of community programmes including community planning and physical activity programmes that will enhance the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of the community.

Working in partnership with a variety of organisations you will ensure there are a diverse range of programmes and activities in place in to encourage increased participation. You will be place based, so a designated geographical area, which will ensure you are the source of knowledge, advice and information.

Educated to degree level or demonstrate equivalent experience, you will have experience of developing, coordinating and promoting sports programmes in a community environment, being able to demonstrate a successful track record of partnership working.

You will need to have excellent interpersonal, and MS Office skills.

You will hold a current driving licence and have access to a suitable vehicle. The enhanced Disclosure and Barring check applies to this post. You will also be required to work occasional evenings and weekends.

The council has an agile working policy and the postholder will mainly work remotely across the district, at home and with some time in the office in Market Harborough.
