In terms of the role itself, you will be a member of the senior management team for sport, steering the strategic direction of the Department and the execution of its Vision for Sport. You will lead your team in the delivery of the three main strands of work within the role's portfolio: Participation, Inclusion and Volunteering. You will also be joining the Department at an exciting time as a new programme of the sports membership offer being integrated with university halls fees is rolled out, as well as overseeing a new £300k annual fund to address some key engagement and inclusion agendas within sport.

We are one of the top Universities in the UK for Sport, as reflected by the breadth and depth of our programmes, being awarded Sports University of the Year for 2019 and 2021 and finishing 2nd in the overall BUCS Table. We are keen to find an outstanding candidate to help us continue to grow and enhance our sector-leading offer for our community.

This role is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
