Radmoor Childcare are seeking an Out of School Club Assistant / Officer to join the team and are looking for someone to deliver high quality learning experiences for all children, ensuring that these are tailored to meet the needs of each individual child. The successful candidates will work alongside the Out of School Club Leader.

About Out of School Club Officer/ Assistant

Loughborough College are looking for someone to deliver high quality learning experiences for all children, ensuring that these are tailored to meet the needs of each individual child. You will plan a variety of activities and support with the delivery of these activities to engage children in order to aid their learning whilst creating a fun and stimulating environment.

Role specific responsibilities:

  • To deliver high quality learning experiences for all children ensuring that they are age appropriate and support all areas of development
  • To undertake a responsibility of an additional role in a specified area of the club
  • To ensure that the environment is safe, welcoming and caring at all times
  • To assist with the setting up of the club ready for the daily activities/children to arrive
  • To support the collection from school, escorting the children to the club in a safe and efficient manner
  • To carry out all responsibilities within an equal opportunities approach
  • To support the individual needs of a child
  • To support the day to day administration, relating to record keeping
  • To safeguard children, young people and vulnerable adults that you may come into contact with, in line with the guidance and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board (LSCB)
  • To plan, prepare and carry out activities and experiences to support the children taking into consideration any additional needs and next steps.
  • To become an allocated 'Key Person' for children on the EY register
  • To accurately plan for a child's next steps to extend their learning and development
  • To build and maintain outstanding partnerships with parents, carers, schools and colleagues
  • To support all inspections relating to the Nursery e.g. Ofsted. Environmental Health. Funding Audits
  • To ensure that all Policies and Procedures are followed and Ofsted requirements are met at all times.
  • To attend meetings as appropriate
  • To promote high standards of Radmoor Childcare provisions at all times to parents, staff and visitors.
  • To carry any duties that may be required by the Radmoor Childcare Management Team
  • To be flexible within working practices, supporting Radmoor Childcare as a 'Whole

To be considered for this role you must have significant experience of working within the child care sector, including an out-of-school/Holiday club setting. A minimum Level 2 Child Care/Play Works qualification is desired, as is having knowledge of Early Years Development, Early years Framework and knowledge in safeguarding requirements.
