About Sports Programming Officer

We are looking for someone who has a proven record of motivating, supporting and developing a team of staff to deliver a wide range of programmes and opportunities has excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to quickly build relationships with customers & key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have experience of growing & developing programmes while maintaining a high standard for health & safety.

Sport Sheffield aims to provide the university & community with a variety of opportunities to get active whether that be through our wide varied programmes, the use of our facilities or through staff opportunities. The Sports Programming Officer role will support all of these key areas through an exciting set of objectives.

The successful candidate will work in a team of two Sports Programming Officers, and as part of the wider Programme & Development Team within Sport Sheffield. The post holder will be responsible to develop and expand on a variety of programmes including Active Kids Holiday Camps (age 5-16), adult & children's swimming lessons, first aid & National pool Lifeguarding courses, Campus Leagues, Group Fitness Classes as well as supporting participation through pay & play opportunities.

The role will provide the successful candidate will be provided with a great opportunity to meet new stakeholders from across the wider University, the Higher Education sector & national stakeholders such as Swim England, Royal Lifesaving Society & Ofsted.
