Your role in our journey

As Senior Active Travel Coordinator, you will provide specialist delivery of cycling activities for children and adults and provide support to other active travel projects across the Sport and Recreation Team. You will work in close partnership with colleagues from across the council as well as a host of statutory, community and voluntary groups to develop and deliver in person cycling. As a Senior Active Travel Coordinator, you will take a lead role in fleet maintenance, health & safety, performance management and will have some supervisory responsibilities for team members and volunteers.

What you'll need

To join us, you'll need a mix of relevant cycling coaching and/or leadership qualifications with at least one of your qualifications being at level 4 or above, and having experience in the sport and physical activity sector. Your track record includes involvement in the delivery of cycling and active travel activities as well as the development of programmes to meet the needs of target audiences. You will have an excellent knowledge of cycling including basic maintenance and repairs and be licensed and confident to drive a long wheel-based vehicles e.g. Mercedes Sprinter Van.
