Reporting to and working with the Delivery Lead, the Community Coach is responsible for being a lead deliverer across all Bath Rugby Foundation Outreach programmes in schools, clubs and community settings throughout Bath and the surrounding areas. Our children and young people’s programmes aim to build and develop our participants confidence, life, skills and independence. We work closely with individuals, families, schools, and clubs to unlock potential, reignite self-belief and provide opportunities for children of all abilities and backgrounds The Community Coach will be an energetic, passionate, and qualified sports deliverer.

About Community Coach

Reporting to and working with the Delivery Lead, the Community Coach is responsible for being a lead deliverer across all Bath Rugby Foundation Outreach programmes in schools, clubs and community settings throughout Bath and the surrounding areas.

Our children and young people's programmes aim to build and develop our participants confidence, life, skills and independence. We work closely with individuals, families, schools, and clubs to unlock potential, reignite self-belief and provide opportunities for children of all abilities and backgrounds

The Community Coach will be an energetic, passionate, and qualified sports deliverer has both experience and skill in using sport to develop physical, emotional, and social skills.

Responsibilities

1. Create, develop, and deliver high quality session and event plans – Including rugby (tag, touch, contact) and multisport sessions to recipients in primary and secondary schools (mainstream, PRU, Special Needs), youth clubs and local rugby clubs to the required quality standards. Delivering at festivals and events as part of a team where applicable

2. Ensure all equipment is correctly set up, maintained, returned, and stored.

3. Ensure that a safe environment is maintained for all - completing and complying with risk assessments where applicable

4. Lead classroom-based sessions which deliver education and health messages.

5. Regularly review own sessions to ensure programmes are delivered to a high standard and

to maintain professional development.

7. Work collaboratively with other Bath Rugby Foundation staff and volunteers to deliver the sessions and events

8. Communicate efficiently via email to colleagues, schools, families and stakeholders

9. Regularly communicate and feedback to programme officers about progress or issues regarding programme delivery and organisation.

10. Provide appropriate mentoring, support, guidance and advice to other coaches or volunteers

11. Help to foster, maintain and strengthen Bath Rugby Foundation's partnerships and relationships with recipients of the programmes, key sponsors and stakeholders.

Safeguarding

1. Comply at all times with Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices in accordance with current legislation, as detailed in the Foundation's Health and Safety policy and Procedures.

2. Follow and uphold the Foundations safeguarding procedures and policies.

3. Work with programme Officer's to ensure relevant Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices are in place for programmes delivered and are upheld by all staff.

4. Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times (both in person and online) in line with the Foundations code of conduct and behaviour policy.
