About National Programmes Manager

ou will be at the very centre of the action, managing and bringing to life new programmes, projects, and partnerships throughout England.

The National Programmes Manager will be responsible for the management of British Triathlon's three major national development programmes across England; Swim, Bike, Run, Active Skills for Life and Beyond Swim. Developing, maintaining, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality, detailed, visible, and accurate project and programme plans, you will ensure our programmes deliver the very best experiences in swim, bike and run.

For the National Programmes Manager role, we're searching for a strong project and programme manager who is process and detail driven, and has a preference for structured, methodical, and logical thinking and working. This will be a challenging role, but at the absolute centre of our work to grow swim, bike and run and to deliver great experiences.

Successful working relationships are key to any role. Our new National Development Managers will report into our Head of Participation. The successful candidates will be integral and valued members of the Development Directorate and they will all thrive through developing and maintaining close working relationships with colleagues from both the development team itself, and across other teams within British Triathlon. The National Partnerships and Events and Programme Activation Managers will additionally both work extensively with a range of external stakeholders and partners, from local authorities, active partnerships and community organisations, to national agencies and funders.

The National Programmes Manager role will be based at our head office in Loughborough, benefitting from our successful hybrid working model where Tuesday to Thursday colleagues work within the office environment, providing a supportive, collaborative, and fun working environment. Colleagues are then afforded flexible working allowances on Mondays and Fridays, working from home or elsewhere, providing work commitments allow.
