About National Endurance Manager (Track)

A vacancy has arisen at England Athletics for a National Endurance Manager (Track) to oversee the execution of Talent activities detailed in England Athletics Strategic plan "Athletes and Runners at the Heart" and included within the aligned UK wide Talent Plan for the sport with a specific focus in managing the talent pathway from Youth through to Senior level in England (including Commonwealth Games).

The post holder will be responsible for regular engagement with our registered athletes, coaches, competition providers, member clubs, tutors, officials, volunteers, partner bodies (i.e., UKA Performance Dept/Commonwealth Games England/Talent Hub contractors) and facility providers. The post holder will also have regular interaction between staff in the Talent department and with colleagues in other areas of England Athletics.

We are looking for an individual who has previous experience in managing sport performance and/or Talent programmes and already has specific knowledge in Athletics working with Talent and developmental programmes. The individual will also have the ability to manage strategically and be able to influence a large number of individuals while maintaining high quality, individual connections. A deep understanding of English and UK sport (ideally athletics), landscape from participation to performance level as well as a working knowledge of UK track endurance, relevant partners and the governance of Olympic endurance events is also required. Other key skills include the ability to be able to work flexibly, strong project management and people skills and be able to use initiative.
