JOB TITLE: Girls Football Development Officer
DEPARTMENT: EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion)
LOCATION: Community Trust Offices, Select Car Leasing Stadium RG2 0FL
SALARY: £24,000
HOURS OF WORK: 37 ½ (Flexible). 1 year fixed term contract.
REPORTS TO: EDI and Disability Lead
JOB PURPOSE
To oversee the running of the training center pyramid, games days and talent ID days that are run within the EDI department at the Community Trust. This will include organizing the day-to- day duties for the programs.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organise the day to day running of the training center
- Deliver at After School Clubs and Training Centers
- Confirm bookings for venues
- Contribute to the EDI working framework
- Complete quality assurance checks when possible
- Liaise with the admin team to get completed registers
- Make sure venue checklist and other procedures are completed
- Set out syllabuses that are appropriate to the ability level
- Collect feedback from coaches at Christmas and summer for all children that qualify.
- Produce a coach's booklet with session ideas linked to the syllabus and keep up to date.
- Conduct monthly monitoring and produce monthly reports on the overall performance against the KPIs of each funding agreement, for internal evaluation
- Liaise with staff on CPD opportunities
- Complete other duties as the HOD may from time to time reasonably require.
- To manage and support girls only holiday camps.
- To adhere to a strict code of confidentiality in respect of any information relating to Reading Football Club and its operation
- To be presentable at all times when working and demonstrate that you can represent the face of the club in the manner expected
- To maintain Reading Football Club's Safeguarding (Child Protection), Health, Safety and Equal Opportunity procedures and practice
- To act in a manner that supports the Club's Vision and Values at all times
Person Specification:
Desirable:
- Sports Degree
- UEFA B Qualification
- FA Talent ID Level 2
- 2 years' experience working in Elite Sport Development.
Essential:
- FA level 2
- FA Talent ID Level 1
- Emergency First Aid
- Safeguarding Certificate
- Computer Literacy, including MS Office and Excel.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Strong Leadership skills
- Proactive & Positive attitude
- Strong commitment to developing players
- Ability to work irregular and unsocial hours as required involving work outside normal office hours (evenings)
- Ability to problem solve
