We are looking for a Holiday Activity Co-Ordinator to join our team over the Summer half term delivering on the Holiday Activity & Food Programme. The ideal candidate will be an organised individual with a passion for working with young people. They will be able to co-ordinate and oversee a Summer programme of enriching activities, with the aim of creating a fun & engaging setting for all young people, specifically those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

About Holiday Activity Co-Ordinator- Molly's Gift

Molly's Gift have been delivering Holiday Activity & Food Programme's since 2021 for younger children, and this year we are expanding to provide a Summer programme for older school children, aged 11-16.

The role will include coordinating a Summer programme for young people, ahead of time and during. You will liase with the Holiday Activity Assistants & Leaders ensuring all activities are thoroughly planned out and understood to deliver a smooth and efficient programme for young people.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan out a summer programme of enriching activities for young people.
  • Liase with external organisations for activities.
  • Organising trips out, considering risk assessments.
  • Communicate regularly with Holiday Activity Assistants & Leaders on their tasks for the day.
  • Oversee the programme daily to ensure there is a smooth implementation of activities, kept within time scales.
  • Lead on activities for young people throughout the day where required.
  • Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe and secure environment.
  • Co-ordinate lunch times, ensuring all young people are provided with a healthy meal.
  • Take responsibility for any safeguarding and safety concerns, ensuring they are reported appropriately.

Previous experience coordinating an event/programme for young people is desirable, though not essential and other relevant experience will be considered.

A fully enhanced DBS is essential. We can provide this if you do not already have one.

We will also provide Designated Safeguarding Lead training, if you do not already have certification of this.

The role will be temporary over the 6 week Summer half term, with up to 30 hours a week available. If successful, there will be other opportunities for casual work within other Molly's Gifts projects, including Saturday Club and other half term camps across the year.
