Leicester Blue Sox look to bolster ranks

Leicester Blue Sox return for pre-season training this Sunday 11 January (2pm-4pm) and are looking for new players to add to their ranks.

Their adult first team will be aiming to be more competitive in 2015 after a transitional year last season and are on the lookout for more experienced baseball players, particular those who have relocated to the Midlands having previously played in overseas leagues.

Complete beginners are also catered for with a second adult league team, as well as a new development third team.

In addition, the club has a growing junior baseball section and a ladies softball team that also need new players.

Blue Sox Chairman Matt Crawshaw said "the club continues to grow, with new teams being created year-on-year, as a result there is a real need to recruit more players across all sections to help fill out those rosters."

Indoor training and taster sessions will be held at Rushey Mead School between January and March. Interested players should contact the club via email at: info@leicesterbluesox.co.uk
