Get into running with Run England’s Beginner Running Programme

Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport (LRS) can help you to take on a new challenge, lose weight, be healthier and meet new people in one easy way; Run England!

Run England is the official England Athletics recreational running project which aims to get the whole nation running.

Across Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland there are over 30 groups all offering welcoming, beginner friendly guidance to help you achieve your running goals. Whether that's just running to the end of your road or completing your first 10k, fully qualified and insured leaders are on hand to support you every step of the way.

Becoming a Run England member is absolutely and with plenty of member benefits on offer, it's well worth it! Exclusive member benefits include a £15 Sweatshop running shoes voucher, as well as discounts on clothing and accessories

This month we welcome 2 new Run England groups, based in Whitwick, North West Leicestershire. The 'Pink-Hot-Chilli Joggers' are a jogging group that meets every Friday (term time only) at Whitwick baptist Church for a prompt leave at 9.20am. The group jogs between 4-5 miles around the Whitwick and Coalville areas and is a great chance for like minded people to come together and enjoy fun and fitness through jogging.

If running's not your thing, why not try the 'Pink-Hot-Chilli Striders', a new power walking group that again meets at Whitwich Baptist Church. This Friday morning group meets weekly at 11am (term time only) for about an hours walking and again, everyone is welcome!

Runners are welcome to turn up at any of the running groups, or if you require more information contact Kim Angell, kimangell.running@yahoo.co.uk
