Four Leicestershire Pupils Win at Orienteering Championship

Leicestershire pupils had their most successful British Schools Orienteering Championship ever with four individual winners. The races were at the Sandringham Estate on Sunday 15th November. In the three Team competitions there was first place for Leicester Grammar School in the Primary School and first place for Loughborough High School in the Small Secondary School competitions.

Winners were from Leicester Grammar School, Twycross House and two girls from Loughborough High School. Elizabeth Bedwell was a first time winner but all the other three had won the event in previous years. Charlie Rennie and Ethan Tebbutt won both of the Autumn British Schools Championship formats.

These performances augers well for when Leicestershire hosts the British Schools Score Championship in October 2016.
