GO GOLD's Grace Garner given morning workout at Roadshow!

Go Gold athlete Grace Garner hosted a morning talk and workshop at Bishop Ellis Catholic School on Monday, helping to inspire youngsters interested in a sporting future.

Garner, who is one of the most promising young professional cyclists in Britain, hosted a short assembly to start the day. The talk consisted of details on her preparation and training, as well as how she performs in competition and her successes. The talk was followed up by some exercise, as Garner ran a quickfire PE lesson with 40 year 6 students, consisting of some of her own warm-up's and fun games.

Finishing off the session, it was the turn of the children to quiz Garner, whose older sister Lucy is also a cyclist (a double Junior World Road Race champion to be exact). The Q&A allowed inquisitive pupils the chance to get a further insight into the life of a sportswoman, with everyone taking away a fresh knowledge of sport and physical activity.
