Over 17,000 NEW netballers taken to the court in 2016

England Netball has some fantastic news for netball lovers – more people than ever are enjoying the sport!

Taking a look at participation from the start of the financial year, more than 36,500 people have been involved in netball activity with England Netball since April – 17,000 of those participants were new to the sport.

This means England Netball are taking the game to even more people than 2015 with participant numbers in England Netball programmes up by 35% from the same time last year.

In addition to this, there have been a staggering 69 new clubs set up in this time, with a further 72 setting up a new section to their club.

All age groups are getting involved with thousands of University students taking part in programmes thanks to the fabulous work of our University Netball Officers.
