Three finals in three days as futsal takes over Team Leicestershire

There are three Team Leicestershire finals coming up this week, and they're all coming from Beauchamp College.

Spread over three days, three futsal finals will follow last week's hockey as the season begins to speed up. With badminton, football and rugby to come before the end of March, there's plenty to play for.

From 4-6 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the finals will kick off with the Year 7 tournament. 10 girls teams will compete in Oadby for the chance to pick up the trophy, with sides looking for their first glory of the 2016/17 campaign.

The full list of teams taking part is:

  • Thomas Estley Community College
  • South Wigston High School
  • Uppingham Community College
  • Belvoir High School
  • Crown Hills Community College
  • Sir Jonathan North Community College
  • Newbridge High School
  • Brookvale High School
  • De Lisle Catholic Science College
  • Wreake Valley Academy

Of the teams competing, only Uppingham have so far picked up top spot in an event, winning the Year 8 netball competition back in December. Last year's final saw Wigston Academy pick up the glory but they didn't make it past the area finals, meaning it will be a different school who will be keeping the trophy until next year.
