Last chance to sign your child up to All Stars Cricket

Time is running out to sign your child up to the ECB's All Stars Cricket programme.

Arriving at the start of the domestic season, All Stars Cricket is a brand new initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket. The programme is delivered across England and Wales at over 1,500 fully accredited All Stars Cricket centres. It is a fun and active way to develop your child's skills, and through our eight-week programme they will learn lots – as well as make new friends – in a safe and inclusive environment.

It is a big summer of cricket in England, with the Women's World Cup and the Champions Trophy both set to be hosted across the country. And with major series against West Indies and South Africa throughout the next few months, there is no better time to get your young ones involved in the sport.

Cricket is accessible for all with clubs in most towns. And there are over 50 fully accredited All Stars Cricket Centres/Clubs across Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland, which means you're never too far away from taking the first step into the action.

All Stars Cricket will run eight one-hour sessions over the course of eight weeks, with an emphasis on having fun and being active. That means that no matter your child's ability, they can enjoy the sessions without the fear of not being good enough.

Registering for All Stars Cricket is easy to do and the sessions will provide a range of different skills which can be used both on and away from the wicket. These skills include cricket specific, such as batting, catching and bowling. But communicative skills will also be worked on, as will team work.

And there's more than just skills to be picked up! Each child who takes part in All Stars Cricket will also receive a bag full of merchandise, which includes a cricket bat and ball, personalised shirt, cap and water bottle.

Signing up your child can help them forge a path into the sport and possibly could even lead to them being a part of the next generation of Ashes heroes. For full information on All Stars Cricket and how to sign up, visit the link below.
