10,283 Miles in 12 days was a tough ask but we gave it our best shot! We achieved a grand total of 47,50 miles, a great 46% of the target. Although we didn't reach the Gold Coast, that distance would have gotten us all the way to Mumbai in India, or to the Island of Cuba. This is still a huge distance so congratulations to everyone who contributed. We knew getting to the Gold Coast was an optimistic target to say the least.
We would like to say a massive congratulations to the winner of the Challenge Leaderboard - Sarah Pearce from Oadby and Wigston Borough Council, who travelled a massive total of 290 miles during the period of the Commonwealth Games! Well done Sarah, keep up the good work and encourage others to join you- your prize is on its way.
Another congratulations goes to University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (Neonatal Unit) who are the winning workplace for logging the highest number of miles during the challenge. Their workplace logged a total of 718 miles during the challenge, this would have got them all the way to Prague! Keep up the good work!
Whether you watched a little of the Commonwealth Games, all of it or none at all and just heard about it, we hope this event has inspired you to get active this year! The weather is to brighten up, so there's no excuse other than to get out and get active this April!
