Sport Clubs Volunteer Survey

Volunteers have always played a vital part in the sports and physical activity sector. Without them, most community sport and physical activity simply wouldn't happen.

That's why Sport England is committed to ensuring clubs have the right support to recruit and retain the volunteers they need to ensure their club is the best it can be.

To help them do this, they are consulting with clubs across England to understand more about the volunteers who give their time to clubs. Importantly, and at the heart of this consultation, they also want to know more about the challenges clubs face and the support they need to help them ensure their volunteers have quality, enjoyable experiences.

The short survey takes around 20 minutes. All your responses are confidential so please answer as honestly as you can.

It may help to have details of your club's membership and volunteers to hand, if they are available.

By completing this survey, you will be providing invaluable information which will help Sport England understand better how they can support clubs to recruit and retain the volunteers they need to run their club and to improve the volunteering experience. The data collected will be used by Sport England to help inform planning for the future, with clubs' interests at heart.
