At such a young age, Isla is a very mature individual with such high professionalism! Her journey has taken her all the way to the British Gymnastic Championships so far and has a whole bright future ahead of her.
Describe your typical day (including training, school, etc.)
On a typical double training day I wake up at 7am and get ready for school, making sure I have a healthy filling breakfast like scrambled eggs on toast (my favourite)! At 12.20pm I'm picked up from school as I train from 1.30pm to 8pm , I eat and get changed on the way to Gym in the car and get home around 9pm and eat my supper then shower and watch TV. Bedtime is around 10pm to ensure I get enough rest to recover. My school are really supportive so my homework is done on my days off or in school.
What is/was your favourite subject at school?
My favourite lesson at school is history as I love learning about past events.
What has been your biggest challenge?
My biggest challenge has been over coming injury, it's also a constant challenge balancing school and training.
What's the best thing that your sport has enabled you to do?
My sport has enabled me to travel around the county and sometimes to other countries meeting lots of different people.
What is your proudest accomplishment (doesn't have to be sport related)?
My proudest accomplishment was competing at the British Gymnastics championships at the Echo arena in Liverpool. It was something I'd dreamed about since I was 8yrs old!
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere in the world I would go to Iceland to see the Northern lights.
