It's been a busy week as two Team Leicestershire cricket finals are played at Loughborough Grammar School. The finals played were:
- 20th June ~ Girls Under 13 & 15s
- 26th June ~ Boys Under 19s
For the first year running the Team Leicestershire cricket finals were highly competitive with all teams playing with high intensity and passion.
For the girls finals roundup, Leicester Grammar School's under 13s team played Sir Jonathon North whilst the under 15s team faced John Ferneley College. Leicester Grammar batted some phenomenal balls at the highest draw. A thoroughly deserved win as Leicester Grammar made it an impressive two out of two wins.
U13 Girls Cricket Final:
Winners ~ Leicester Grammar School
Runners Up ~ Sir Jonathon North Community College
U15 Girls Cricket Final:
Winners ~ Leicester Grammar School
Runners Up ~ John Ferneley College
As for the boys finals, the under 19s fixture will be played on:
26th June ~ Beauchamp College vs Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College
Huge congratulations to all teams, special thanks goes to Loughborough Grammar School for hosting the finals.
Team Leicestershire is theumbrella association for the traditional competitive school sport offer across Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland. It is open to every secondary school – both state and independent, and aims to ensure that as many young people as possible have the opportunity to participate in competitive school sport.
