Uppingham School gets a hat-trick 🏏 over Oakham School to during an epic Team Leicestershire cricket final!

The first of the 2017-18 Team Leicestershire cricket finals were played last night at Kibworth Cricket Club. It was all to play for, the two teams being rivals and proved to be a very entertaining game.

The key highlight was Uppingham taking a hat-trick in the third over of the first innings which seemed to have put a huge dent in Oakham's total, but a fantastic 50 in the middle of the innings saw them recover and set a target of 132 runs. Uppingham started the chase well but unfortunately lost regular wickets and just came up short.

Runners Up ~ Uppingham School

Oakham School now go on to represent Leicestershire at the regional round of the National ESCA Under 15 T20 cup.

Huge congratulations to both teams, special thanks goes to Kibworth Cricket Club for hosting the finals at such short notice and to Paul Nixon and Ateeq Javid for supporting with the presentation ceremony.
