Kibworth School claim first Team Leicestershire title of the season!

The 2018/19 Team Leicestershire season kicked off on a mild November evening at Ratcliffe College with the Girls U14 and U16 Hockey Finals.

New to the calendar this year in line with national changes to the competition pathway, the full 7-a-side format saw some exciting games and some spectacular saves from the new addition of goalkeepers.

The Kibworth School emerged as winners in the U14 round robin competition by one goal on goal difference, whilst Welland Park Academy overcame a 1-0 deficit to turn the game around and win 3-1 in the U16 Final.

Well done to all involved and good luck to the Kibworth School (U14), Dixie Grammar School (U14 & U16) and Welland Park Academy (U16), who will now progress to the Regional Rounds as representatives for Leicestershire and Rutland!

A special thanks to all staff and teachers for their hard efforts to make this event happen. Congratulations to all teams for making it this far, you have made all your schools, teachers and parents very proud!
