Year 5/6 Girls & Boys Table Tennis School Games Levels 3 Super-Series Finals

On 21st November, table tennis was the first Level 3 Super Series Final of the 2018/19 season to get us underway! Featuring year 5/6 girls and boys at Knighton Park Table Tennis Club.

The girls got the day started as 9 teams played in two groups to determine the final play off matches. Hinckley & Bosworth vs. West Leicester was the final fixture for 1st and 2nd in both boys and girls finals, both teams taking pole position in each of their groups.

Hinckley & Bosworth and West Leicester however, settled for a winner's trophy each as Hinckley & Bosworth triumphed in the girls finals whereas West Leicester claimed the boys title.

Spirit of the Games winners, Oadby & Wigston (Girls) and Melton & Belvoir (Boys) were teams who demonstrated the core values: passion, self-belief, respect, honesty, teamwork and determination. Although neither team were the overall winners, their spirits should be appraised very highly.

A key highlight witnessed individuals cheering their own teams, showed great resilience even when they lost games, and went the extra mile by encouraging and complimenting opposing teams as they played their games.
