Amy Griffiths discusses how she would spend winning lottery money and her favourite pre-training snack … porridge with Nutella and strawberries!

What is your go to pre training snack?

Porridge with Nutella and strawberries

Explain your ideal weekend

Going out for a meal and to the cinema with friends

What would be your dream job if not a professional athlete and why?

I would like to be a sports psychologist

What is your long-term goal in your sport? How do you plan to achieve this?

I would like to compete for Team GB at the Olympics and win medals. I aim to achieve this by training and working hard and trying to remain injury and illness free at the crucial times

What is your favourite 'cheat meal' when not following your training diet?

I don't believe in 'cheat' meals as I believe in having a balanced diet and believe that everything in moderation is ok.

Have you got any phobias? Or pet peeves?

I don't like spiders or slow walkers!

If you were to win the lottery, what would you spend the money on?

I would use it to fund my training camps (in particular altitude training camps) and I'd like to have a nice end of season holiday.

What is your favourite holiday destination and why?

I really like when I visited Paris. I loved the scenery and the city vibe and I would love to go back there.

If you could play any other sport, what would it be and why?

I'd like to be able to do gymnastics as it is a sport that fascinates me.

Who is your role model and why?

Whilst I don't have a role model as such, I would like to be as successful as Kelly Holmes or Paula Radcliffe.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to your 18/15/12 year old self?

Just enjoy and appreciate the moments you have when you have them.

What major tournaments have you taken part in/ will be taking part in in the last / next 3 months? Tell us about it! (vlog / blog)

I competed last weekend at the European cross Country for Team GB in the U23 age group. My next few competitions will be when I run for England in January in the Belfast International and then at BUCS Cross Country followed by running for England again in Armagh in February.
