Rejuvenating exercise programme 'Steady Steps'  Launches Leicester City based Sessions

Are you over 65? Do you feel unsteady on your feet? Have you previously fallen or worry about falling? Would you like to improve your balance?

The 24 week exercise programme comprise of tailored seated and standing exercise including; balance & endurance, dynamic balance, floor exercised (if appropriate), strength exercises using bands, balls, light weights and techniques for getting down and up from the floor.

People are eligible for the Steady Steps programme if they are aged over 65, are at risk of falling (e.g. have a high fear or falling or poor balance) or have fallen less than three times in the past 12 months.

New sessions will now be available in Leicester City, based in Braunstone and Leicester Leys Leisure Centre. Sessions start on 15th May, however attendees can still sign-up until the end of June.

Pre-booking is required for all Steady Steps courses and local inclusion criteria are applicable. Due to the nature of the programme there will be a final intake date for all programmes.
