Wannabe water lovers in Leicester have one last chance to try sailing for free as the Leicester and Rutland Youth Sailing Association (LRYSA) invites you to Push The Boat Out next weekend (25 & 26 May).
LRYSA, based on John Merricks Lake in Watermead Country Park, aims to make watersports accessible and affordable to all sections of the community both young people and adults alike. They are opening the gates for anyone have a go between 10am and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, with hour-long on-the-water tasters available for everyone from eight to 80!
With so much national focus on physical and mental wellbeing, being on the water gives everyone a chance to get away from modern life, spend time with the family, have fun with friends and just enjoy the feeling of being in the fresh air and closer to nature. A real family day out, many Push The Boat Out venues will also be putting on shore-side activities like BBQs and games for the kids too.
