Crowdfunding Page set-up to help GO GOLD Athlete Edward Pole

Friends of the BMX community have set-up a Crowdfunding page to help a teen that suffered life-changing injuries in a biking accident.

15-year-old, Edward Pole, suffered catastrophic injuries after coming of his bike and landing badly on Saturday, June 1.

Now the BMX community want to raise money to aid his recovery in any way they can.

Edward - who is currently number one in his region for BMX despite racing up a group in the 17-29s - is receiving treatment at Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham. He is said to be recovering well so far and remains upbeat and positive.

Here at Leicester-Shire and Rutland Sport we would like to help in any way we can to support Edward with his recovery and we would like to invite you to donate to his crowdfunding page.

Edward and his family would like to say an enormous thank you for all of the support they have received so far.

They said: "Words cannot express our gratitude; you've all been amazing and it's really helped Edward."
