Leicester Jobs Fund Grant Increases to £3500

Leicester Jobs Fund have in from £2500 to £3500 as from 1^st June 2019. This is available to any SME employer based in Leicester or Leicestershire who employs an individual who falls into the criteria listed below:

Persons aged 16+ years who are unemployed claiming out of works benefits OR economically inactive meeting at least one of the following additional criteria:

• 16-24 NEET OR over 50

• Longer term unemployed (6 months plus) ALL AGE

• Has a physical or mental health challenge

• A single parent

• Not qualified above entry level 3 in Maths or English

• Ex-offender

• Care Leaver

for

• A minimum of 30 hours per week for 6 months
• 16 hours for 12 months
• 30 hours for 12 months if on an apprenticeship and
• Pays them the national minimum wage (16 – 17, £4.35, 18-20: £6.15, 21-24: £7.70, 25+: £8.21)

We have widened the eligibility criteria as well as increased the fund in the hope that more employers recruit individuals furthest removed from the employment market.
