Employer Grants of up to £3,500 through the Leicester Employment Hub

Leicester Jobs Fund Grant from £2500 to £3500 as from 1st June 2019. This is available to any SME (small to medium sized enterprise) employer based in Leicester or Leicestershire who employs an individual who falls into the criteria listed below:

Persons aged 16+ years who are unemployed claiming out of works benefits OR economically inactive meeting at least one of the following additional criteria:

• 16-24 NEET OR over 50

• Longer term unemployed (6 months plus) ALL AGE

• Has a physical or mental health challenge

• A single parent

• Not qualified above entry level 3 in Maths or English

• Ex-offender

• Care Leaver

for

  • A minimum of 30 hours per week for 6 months
  • 16 hours for 12 months
  • 30 hours for 12 months if on an apprenticeship and
  • Pays them the national minimum wage (16 – 17, £4.35, 18-20: £6.15, 21-24: £7.70, 25+: £8.21)

The eligibility criteria has been widened and the fund has been increased in the hope that more employers recruit individuals furthest removed from the employment market. This fund cannot be applied retrospectively, however if any employers are looking to recruit anyone in the coming weeks/months please contact Krystyna.
