Molly's Gift Small Grants Applications Launched

Molly's Gift launch first small grants applications to help local children & young people get active across Leicester-shire & Rutland!

Molly's Gift is a fundraising trust set up in memory of Molly Webb who sadly passed away in January 2019 at just 25 years old. Molly was the captain of Loughborough Foxes Women's & Girls Football Club and also enjoyed coaching the junior teams in her spare time. Molly was a sports co-ordinator in a primary school and her passion lay in encouraging children to take part and enjoy sport/physical activity and would never allow ability or lack of opportunity to obstruct their progression. Molly was a role model and inspiration to the children she worked with and the trust allows her legacy to live on.

The trust aims to provide funding opportunities for children and young people in sport and physical activity, particularly for disadvantaged children; something that was incredibly close to Molly's heart. The first round of grant funding is now open and will close on Monday 9^th March 2020. Local non for profit community organisations, Primary Schools & individuals (children & young people) can apply for a grant of up to £500. All grant applications will need to hit one of the following outcomes:

• Increase participation in sport / physical activity for children and young people
• Provide opportunities in sport / physical activity for disadvantaged young people
• To improve and raise the awareness of mental health for children & young people.
