Skills Support for Redundancy - funded support available for employers and individuals

If you are facing an organisational restructure or the prospect of making hard decisions about staff redundancy, there is funded support available. Or if you as an individual are facing redundancy, or have been made redundant within the last few months there is support available to you.

Upskill for workplace success: training and advice in a wide range of vocational and sector specific training to help secure employment in your existing business or to help you change career

Career progression training: developing higher level skills to take you to the next step in your career, such as leadership and management or supervisory skills training

Support with securing a new job: to give you the best chance of securing a new role, we can build on your transferable skills and support where required with CV writing, online job searching, completing applications and interview techniques, or signpost you to local services that will be able to offer additional support

Training could also include support with English, maths and digital literacy as required to help individuals thrive in new workplaces or roles.

For organisations with 20+ employees at risk of redundancy, we will work with the Department for Work and Pensions, your Local Enterprise Partnership and the National
Careers Service to provide you with the best possible support.
