New Padel courts installed at Market Harborough Squash & Racketball Club

Market Harborough Squash & Racketball Club are hosting a Community Try-it Day on Sunday 27th September to celebrate the opening of their new padel courts, adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.

Padel is a rapidly growing sport and it is played on an enclosed court about a third of the size of a tennis court. The rules are the same as tennis, played with similar balls, although serving is under-hand and the walls are used as part of the game.

Two new Padel courts have been installed and they are the only courts in the East Midlands. Club members and families have already been down to the club to try them out and they are receiving great feedback from adults and kids alike. The smaller court and ability to play the ball off the walls with a solid, stringless racquets makes the ball easier to return and leads to longer rallies.

The Community Try-it Day is on Sunday 27th September between 10:00am-2:00pm and it's free. Book a 30 minute slot to try it out by emailing info@harboroughsquash.co.uk
