GO GOLD Funding Programme - Update

Following a review of the GO GOLD programme during the current climate, it has been decided that we will be delaying the launch of the programme for 2021-2022 whilst also conducting an evaluation of GO GOLD, its current format and an assessment of future plans.

Our intention is to ensure the programme is robust and fit for purpose as well as being future proof moving forwards in these ever-changing times.

Whilst our aim is still to be in a position to support athletes again from April 2021, the process of application through to confirmation of successful athletes will be delayed until January 2021 at the earliest. At this time, we are also looking into other areas of possible future support, for example specialist athlete workshops.

We appreciate your patience and support in this matter but would like to reassure you that supporting young local athletes to achieve their sporting potential remains extremely important to LRS and integral to the GO GOLD programme.
