We are just one week away from launching our very first month campaign to get every woman across LLR finding their way to exercise and have some fun with our This Girl Can event, using local and inspiring female instructors to host a variety of exercise sessions.
Like most things recently our annual This Girl Can Charity Night Out cannot go ahead, however lockdown wasn't going to stop us so instead we have created our brand NEW virtual 'Move This March' campaign. The event will consist of exercise sessions running throughout the whole month of March to enable as many women to try something new and find a way to exercise in a way that suits every need.
There will be local, female instructors taking each session, and altogether we have over 50 sessions scheduled to take place! Some of these sessions include:
- Back pain Pilates, Yoga Nidra, Ravefit, Bollysass dance, Weights Workout's and so much more.
Take a look at the calendar for week 1 of March to see the variety of classes we have on offer. Plus, once you have secured a ticket there is NO limit to the amount of sessions you can book onto! Some of the sessions have limiting numbers to enable more interaction between instructor and participant, therefore we do suggest you book on now to secure your place.
For the campaign we have set up a dedicated Facebook group to encourage and motivate every woman across LLR to achieve their exercise goals and simply move more this March!. We know how hard it is to stay motivated right now, or to connect with new people, so this group will be a great way to form our This Girl Can community and cheer each other on in our exercise journey's.
There will also be special events to celebrate International Women's Day & Mothering Sunday, as well as exciting pledges to get involved with to challenge yourself throughout March.
For all those who buy a ticket you will receive a FREE #ThisGirlCan t-shirt and water bottle.
All of the funds raised through ticket sales will go to support the work of Hope Against Cancer. They are LLR's local cancer research charity, funding cutting-edge research and providing clinical trials for local people. They partner with local universities and hospitals to make sure that Leicestershire is a hub of expertise in cancer research and treatment. Since their set up in 2003, they have funded over 60 research projects tackling cancer.
So, ladies it is time to have some fun and feel great again!!
