Ensure your Club/Group is ready to thrive post-lockdown

We are in the process of updating our Get Active Search Engine and the directory of clubs and groups within it.

Our Get Active Search Engine is a free platform to help physical activity, sport and wellbeing providers promote their opportunities to new and existing participants. It was accessed by over 58,000 users from April 2019-2020 and we are driving people to it through our Active Together campaign.

Recent surveys have indicated that 7 in 10 adults are motivated to get healthier in 2021 due to COVID-19* and children have indicated they would like more opportunities to socialise and make connections following the virtual classes/clubs they joined during lockdowns/restrictions**.

Therefore we want to make sure the Get Active Search Engine provides an updated view of all activity opportunities including clubs, community activities/groups, gyms/fitness centres and parks/open spaces available for us all to access.

Please take a few minutes to now update your Club/Group/Organisation's profile:

1. Visit www.lrsport.org/directory and use the search function down the left-hand side to find your Club.
2. Click on your Club and then 'Link to this Organisation'. You'll need to log-in to our website (you can reset your password or sign-up for a free account).
3. In the Club/Organisation Membership area, select what your relationship/role is to the Club and select 'Yes' to 'Would you like to maintain this profile'.
4. We will receive a notification of this and approve you shortly.
5. Your Club will then be listed in the 'My Clubs & Organisations' area of your dashboard for you to edit the profile.

Whilst you are there, why not add the sport/activity sessions you provide so users can see what you have on offer? When in the 'My Clubs & Organisations' area, click 'Manage' to add your activity sessions.

To ensure the directory is given a thorough cleanse, if no action is taken to a Club's profile by the end of March, the profile will be removed from our website (club profiles can easily be added again if needed).
