Time really does fly when you're having fun and the fun is continuing to be had by over 150 women from across the whole of LLR as we enter Week 4 of our campaign!

31 virtual exercise sessions have taken place so far in our 'Move This March' campaign, having been led by a variety of local, independent female instructors.

The event has been a success so far, with over 150 women of all ages and abilities attending these exciting, varied sessions to try something new, whilst having fun doing it! A few of our This Girl Can ambassadors (who are also instructors) aired on BBC East Midlands Today during International Women's Day and for a couple of days following this, to highlight the importance of exercise for women as well as being an inspirational figure to get more involved during such difficult times.

We still have a busy 10-days of sessions to come, therefore we have slashed our ticket prices to only £5, so ANY women can still get involved. Plus, there is NO limit to the amount of sessions you can book onto once a ticket is secured!

We know how hard it is to stay motivated right now, or to connect with new people so there is a dedicated Facebook group for the event, which has been a great way for many to form a This Girl Can community and cheer each other on in their exercise journey's.

Before children break up for the Easter holidays, perhaps this could be a great time to book yourself on to a few sessions and allow some time to do something for you, which can make you feel great. There are so many benefits to doing some exercise, whether that be sleeping better, feeling revitalised, releasing stress, or losing some weight and feeling stronger. Every story is different so just do it for YOU.

As well as this, all of the funds raised through ticket sales will go to support the work of Hope Against Cancer. They are LLR's local cancer research charity, funding cutting-edge research and providing clinical trials for local people. They partner with local universities and hospitals to make sure that Leicestershire is a hub of expertise in cancer research and treatment. Since their set up in 2003, they have funded over 60 research projects tackling cancer.
