Team GB Medal Rush at Tokyo 2020

Team GB have been inspiring people across the country with their performances and medals in Tokyo. As of this morning GB now have 13 gold medals having just won two in the sailing events. Alongside 13 silver and 13 bronze with lots more still to come before the conclusion of the games on Sunday (8th).

Local Leicestershire athletes have also been showcasing their talents in Tokyo. Did you know if Loughborough were in the medal table they would currently sit 16th with 3 gold's, 4 silvers and a bronze!

What is still to come at Tokyo?

Sport Climbing makes its Olympic debut today as GB's Shauna Coxsey looks to impress in the women's event tomorrow and 13 year old Sky Brown takes to the skatepark. The athletics, track cycling and boxing continue with many Team GB athletes hunting for medals. Coverage of these Olympic events is on BBC and Eurosport.

And the Summer sporting action doesn't stop there as there are just 21 days to go until Team GB go for more medals at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games starting 24th August.
